Bright Minds Internship Program 2007 The Bright Minds Internship program was launched in the summer of 2005 targeting academically brilliant juniors and seniors of the twenty one school districts within the college district. Last year the students were involved in an "Information Research" project on the topic of Biotechnology. The project culminated in a fifteen-minute presentation to the Carl Sandburg College Board of Trustees at their regular Board Meeting in Carthage, IL on July 27, 2006. This year, the program will focus on the topic of "Logistics and Supply Chain Management". The team is made of three students from the K-12 school districts, and one student from Carl Sandburg College. The four students will work as a team on a project and will present their work to the College Board of Trustees at their regular Board meeting at the Carthage Branch Campus on July 26th, 2007. The Internship will start on Tuesday, June 19th, 2007 and end on Tuesday, July 17th, 2007 and will involve the students spending one day a week at Carl Sandburg College campus in Galesburg and the rest of the days working at home or at a nearby CSC campus. During this time, they will go on field visits, conduct interviews, and do research on Logistics and Supply Chain topic. The program is hosted by Samuel Sudhakar, vice president of technology services and Dr. Ken Grodjesk, education instructor at Carl Sandburg College.
