Suggestions for improvement:
1.3 days 2.A schedule being sent to participants after they have registered. The first morning times were confusing. Many thought it started at 9:00 a.m., not 8. 3.It would also be nice if it were earlier in August, so as not to be so close to school starting. 4.Give description in brochure telling what each session is about. This will help at sign-up time. 5.Tell beginners that these mini-sessions are just the "tip of the iceberg". Full workshops are encouraged to polish and enhance skills. 6.Keep the same/maybe more prizes. 7.More time. 8.Really more time on the computers would be helpful. Need time to look. 9.Extended topics for more than one session. 10.Time for both days need to be consistent---confusing. 11.Follow-up sessions---all speakers seemed willing to be accessible. 12.Have both days start the same. Have the flyers describe the classes more. 13.What about using calculators as a course offering? 14.What about student projects displayed – like a technology fair? 15.Wow! Everything was great!! 16.Have presenters give handouts, if possible. 17.I hated leaving home by 6:00 a.m., but I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer. 18.Explanation of classes needs to be more precise. 19.Hard to come up with many. More free samples. 20.Offer some double sessions. 21.Allow previous attendees to come again. Encourage are administrators to come and spotlight available local resources. E-mail participants about when/where to come on opening day. Send reminder before class. 22.Send a definite confirmation that I was in the camp. Include a program outline in the folder listing keynote speakers. 23.Longer sessions. 24.Room 105 needs to be cooler. The overviews for sessions should be more specific. 25.Temperatures of rooms. 26.Offer free software or reduced prices. 27.Though I did find the timing of this year's camp to be good, somehow to have the experience earlier would enable "me" to work on programs through the summer. However, I realize there are problems with vacations, etc. Just a thought!
